Chain Reaction Fundraiser
On August 18, 2013 Yukai Daiko performed at the Bergamot Station Arts Complex in Santa Monica, for the “Chain Reaction” fundraiser and public awareness event. Chain Reaction refers to a sculpture shaped like a mushroom cloud, which is scheduled to be taken down by the city of Santa Monica. The purpose of the fundraiser was to save Chain Reaction, which is a monument to the usage of the atomic bombs against Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and a reminder of the resulting devastation.
Yukai Daiko joined food trucks, businesses, artists, and other musicians in an effort to save the anti-nuclear sculpture known as “Chain Reaction.”

Each participant made a dynamic impression, and we hope that you all will continue to stay updated with our current events and come back next year.
The end of trial period marks the beginning of the taiko journey for the next generation of Yukai Daiko members. Yukai Daiko would like to welcome its 9th generation to the Yukai Daiko family:
